Capstone Project
Personal Bio:
I started making art in elementary school. I did painting. In high school I took drawing and painting and ceramics and piano. My favorite way to make art is making ceramics. I like the clay. In the future I want to do more painting.
The Process:
I drew the elephant in my sketchbook. I made a circle with flat clay. I made coils by rolling the clay. I score and slip. I add handles and score too. I cut the elephant out and I attached it. I carved the nose, eyes, ears, trunk, and mouth. I put it on the shelf so that it gets dry. I put it in the kiln room to get fired. I put red on the background, I put blue inside, I put green on the handles, and the elephant grey. When done with it, I put it in the kiln room to be fire again.
Connecting the Capstone:
Elephants live in the grassland or the zoo. The green color is for the tree and grasslands. The red color is for a volcano. The blue color is for water. I put everything for nature and the elephant. I go to MetroTech everyday to do the plants. I like to work in nature with the animals and the plants. I put nature on projects because of how much I love them.
Art classes and Education:
In high school I took Mx. Hajenga for art class and drawing and painting. I liked everything in that class. My favorite thing to do in that class was to paint. I took Ms. Weston for ceramics. My favorite thing to do was to make elephants. I took piano with Mr. Collins. My favorite thing to do was to play and listen to piano. After high school I want to be a zookeeper with animals. My art classes have been pretty nice and taught me how to get better. I can try and get better as a zookeeper too.
Future Changes:
I don't have yellow or orange and I can put more colors on it in the future. I can put a lion on the back side of it and make it yellow and orange. It can show zookeeper with more colors and animals.
